  1. I,ll always remember after my father Rolfe Davidson (Lils 1st cousin & had the farm on Epiha Rd) died in 1968 & how kind & supportive Bruce was to my mother (Diana Davidson) & I as he was living in New Plymouth then.As I listened to the eulogies today online I thought Bruce was an over achiever in such a simple thing as driving his Valiant as a bridal car which he did for my sister Carols & my wedding to!His mother ,Aunty Lil to me was kindness itself in supporting me through 4 years of boarding school in Hamilton by turning up in her little green Austin car regularly with a packet of chips & a bottle of pop=a tuck shop as Robert said.
    With fond memories

  5. My mother enjoyed Bruce’s wit, dry humour and interesting conversations they had. As a child, he always seemed so much older than I. When I went to Waikato Diocesan School as a boarder it was Joy who welcomed me into her home on my days off. Aunty Lil, Bruces mother was always lovely to visit. Years went by until we started to visit Bruce in Rotorua who was interested in family history as I am. His collection of the family’s history is incredible and interesting to read. It is of great value along with his collection of Historical family pieces. Hopefully, they will be treasured for future generations.
Thank You Bruce for welcoming my sisters and I into your home and now may you rest in peace.
My deepest sympathy to Robert and his family.
