Personal Farewell

How To Celebrate a Life With Meaning

We believe that each funeral service should be as unique as the person you are honouring. The most meaningful services are the ones that truly reflect the person. There are many elements of a funeral service that are able to be personalised, including:

  • Choice of music
  • Use of images, video, or other media
  • Choice of venue
  • Choice of casket or urn
  • Eulogies, speeches, or songs
  • Choice of food and drinks served
  • Service keepsakes

If you have any unique ideas or special requests to make a funeral more personal and thoughtful, please let our team know; we are committed to making your wishes a reality.

Venue

Venue Options & Ideas

Choosing a venue for a funeral service is one of the first decisions many make in the funeral arranging process as this determines many other important factors. Here are some important questions to ask when deciding on a venue:

  • Is there a place that holds significant meaning to my loved one that could be used as a service venue?
  • How many people do I expect to come?
  • Would I like to hold a reception? If so, would I like to hold it at the same venue, or somewhere else?
  • Do I require funeral livestreaming, media presentations such as a slideshow, or audio surround system?

Our chapel at Osbornes Funeral Directors has been purpose-built to fulfil every need of a traditional funeral service, seating 182 people, in addition to offering clean and modern facilities for refreshments.

If you require advice or assistance in booking a venue for a funeral service, please get in touch with us. We are here to help.

Other Things to Consider

Things to Think About

When planning a service for yourself, or arranging one for a loved one, there are several important things to consider. These include:

  • Choosing clothing and delivering an outfit delivered to your Funeral Director
  • Making a list of who to contact and invite to the service, and who will be responsible for doing so
  • Arranging pallbearers, if required
  • Considering final disposition of ashes, if required
  • Asking if loved ones would like to say anything at the service

We are here to guide you through this process and answer any questions you might have.

We were really pleased with the service we received from Osbornes. Everyone went above and beyond to ensure everything went smoothly and how we wanted it for Dad. Special thanks to Chris, Richard and Wayne, for everything they did for us and Dad. We have used Osbornes many times and will continue to do so in the future. Kind regards,

Chris
