At Osbornes it is important to us that we meet the needs of your family and ensure the costs associated with the funeral fall within your budget.

Our professional fees are $2846, we itemise any hours of work on top of that, so you and the family know exactly what work has been done.

All of our prices include GST, we don’t mark up any items we pay for on your behalf, and we offer a 5% discount on our fees if payment is made before the funeral.

There are no hidden after hours costs and we wont lock you into a package you don’t need.

Our premises are purpose built to care for the deceased and their families, plenty of off street parking, and attentive staff who are are registered and qualified.

Air New Zealand’s compassionate airfares offer a reduction on full or higher priced fares but do not apply to some lower priced fares already below the compassionate airfare level.

The family member usually applies for a refund after travelling, supplying the necessary documentation.

In order to apply, you need to receive prior approval by phoning the Air New Zealand refunds team on 0800 733 8637 with your booking or ticket reference number.

The Air New Zealand refund staff will then advise you if there will likely be a partial or no refund if the airfare is below the compassionate fare level. If a partial refund is due, you fill in the form provided (by your funeral director or Air New Zealand) and fax or mail it to the Air New Zealand refunds team for processing.

Your Osbornes Funeral Home Funeral Director will then, at your request, send off the necessary form to Air New Zealand verifying the death.
